Our Take
The BedJet 3 cools and heats with forced air instead of water, so there is no pad to leak and nothing to refill — it ducts climate-controlled air under your sheets. It is the cheapest way into a real bed-cooling system, ramps fast (sheets warm in about a minute), and its Dry mode is genuinely good at wicking sweat. The trade-off versus a water system like Eight Sleep or ChiliPad is that air cooling is less precise and you feel airflow rather than a cold surface.
Pros
- Cheapest real bed-cooling system, no water or pad to maintain
- Heats and cools, with fast warming and a sweat-wicking Dry mode
- Works with any mattress and your existing bedding
Cons
- Air cooling is less precise than a water-based pad or mattress
- You feel airflow, and the unit makes some fan noise
